FAQ

Questions worth asking upfront

Straight answers to what people usually want to know before getting in touch.

How does pricing work?

Websites and tools get a fixed project price once we've agreed the scope, not an open-ended hourly estimate. For automation tools, you only pay if the tool saves you noticeable time. The beginner AI session costs CHF 600 at the pilot price (normally CHF 1,200). Third-party costs such as hosting or APIs are passed on without markup.

You also work at a trust company. Is that a conflict of interest?

No. My job is saving you hours, not knowing who your clients are, and I treat it that way. I develop with anonymised data, the tool runs on your own computers, and everything I see stays confidential. On request, I sign an NDA before we start.

Where does my data go?

For anything sensitive, such as client records, financial data or compliance checks, the tool runs on your computer or your own servers, not on a server I control. I develop and test with anonymised data where possible. Before we start, I show you exactly where your data goes.

What happens if you stop or aren't available?

Your data stays safe, because it never sits with me. The tool and its code belong to you, so any developer can continue working on it.

Does every tool use AI?

No. I use whatever does the job reliably. The compliance screening tool, for example, contains no AI at all: it follows fixed rules, step by step, and documents every check with a timestamp, so it is easy to audit.

How long does a typical project take?

A small website usually takes one to three weeks. An automation tool depends on how clearly the current process is defined. Well-defined processes move fast. Processes nobody has written down take longer, because that has to happen first.

Do you only work with trust companies and law firms?

No. My best-known work is for trust and legal firms, but what matters is whether there's a repetitive process to automate or a website to improve, not the industry.

I already have a website. Do I need a full rebuild?

Usually not. Most sites need targeted fixes: speed, structure, visibility on Google, or a design that has aged. I check first and tell you honestly whether a rebuild is worth it.

What if something breaks after launch?

Start-up problems are fixed at no extra cost. After that, I stay reachable, and most fixes take minutes, not days. If you want ongoing changes or monitoring, we agree on a monthly retainer.

What happens after delivery?

It's yours, including the code. There's no required retainer. The only ongoing cost for a website is hosting, which is passed on at cost. Ongoing support is optional.
