Privacy policy

1. Controller

2. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by Netlify, Inc., 101 2nd St, Suite 575, San Francisco, CA 94105, USA. When you visit the site, technically necessary data is processed: IP address, date and time, page requested, referrer URL, browser and operating system. This is needed to deliver the website and keep it stable and secure.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. My legitimate interest is the secure and reliable operation of the website. Netlify processes this data on my behalf under a data processing agreement and deletes log files after a limited period.

3. Contact form

If you use the contact form, I process the data you enter (name, email address, optional phone number, topic, optional message) to answer your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to a possible contract, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering enquiries). Providing the data is voluntary, but I cannot reply without an email address.

The form is processed and stored by the Netlify Forms service of Netlify, Inc. (see section 2), which uses sub-processors for spam filtering and for sending email. The enquiry is then forwarded to my email inbox at Google (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). Google processes email under its own privacy policy, and data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA.

4. Transfers to the USA

Netlify, Inc. and Google LLC are certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Transfers to them are based on the European Commission's adequacy decision of 10 July 2023, which has been incorporated into the EEA Agreement (Art. 45 GDPR).

5. Retention

I delete enquiries once they have been dealt with, at the latest after 12 months. If a contract results, I keep business correspondence and records for as long as the law requires (in Liechtenstein generally 10 years). Form entries at Netlify are deleted after they have been forwarded, at the latest after 12 months.

6. Cookies, analytics and fonts

This website uses no cookies, stores nothing in your browser, and uses no analytics or tracking services. Fonts are served from this website itself; no connection to Google Fonts is made.

7. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20). An email to meierkevin887@gmail.com is enough.

Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR): where I process data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation.

8. Right to lodge a complaint

9. Automated decision-making

No automated decision-making, including profiling, takes place.
